I been taking a lot of pictures and not uploading them to the computer or my blog!! so today is the day that I will get that done. Since back from Halloween so Birthday boy pics and cake making pics and sorry Just to let anyone know who doesn’t already know from the 15th to the 23 McDonals’s is giving free yes FREE AGAIN coffee for all those caffeine freaks like me! go get one.!!!
So non of my followers have yet to comment on my Birthday party situation?? I am really interested in seeing what you have to say about it!! what would you have done , confrontation or shallow thinking?? what give me some feed back please
So working of the Birthday I made a homemade cake with little brother and I actually used Wilton’s Gum paste to make the flowers first time people and with the little guy helping it was a okay first attempt
Just add the food coloring paste which is not as wet to your color choice I only had the liquid food coloring on hand so the color choices were not what I would have hoped forĀ but easy to mix just add a little margarine to add in mixing color into the paste and it stays soft
I could have made the circles a lot thinner but I was working with a 4 yr old and the patience level was zero!! but you get the idea make balls, flatten one circle, and start rolling the circle to make a curled up spiral. keep adding a flat circle to make a petal around and around. Till you get a rose or flower yahhhh
Just keep adding as many as you want I even tried the flat flower technique with just squished circles 5 in the petal color and 1 for the center!!
I had left over Halloween M&M’s so i used them to go around the edge add a candle and some smiling , singing faces and Happy Birthday!! I like the softness of the paste. It was easy to mix, and work with. It was all ready for me to use and comes with a resealable bag to keep fresh so you don’t have to worry about finding another bag to put it in. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to try to make their cakes look more professional. I know mine looks so so but again I made the butter cream frosting myself and had my 4yr old helping me.. Next time I would like to try to cover the whole cake with the fondant and maybe do a geometric pattern or something whimsical!! http://www.wilton.com/
