Anyway I did end up signing the form and hopefully like the teacher said with me helping him and this new teacher helping him hopefully he can start to enjoy reading and writing  soon…. And I still can’t believe its almost here. and only one snow storm of the season so far.. kids all need new boots and that’s expensive enough let alone try to find the most popular size 2 around anymore,  kids are throwing peanut shells around so gotta go clean up again….

This bologna has to stop. My youngest son has no problem with speech or hearing.. it’s bull shit.. You want to label him put that slip of paper in his school file and pretend that the problem is on him..He knows how to sound out his words he hears me even when I’m talking to his back. I have always made him pronounce all his words right from the start. Even when there are some mom’s out there who think it’s cute when they same something wrong like “peas” instead of please . I  make sure they would say it the right way.

My son is trying his hardest to study his Alphabet he knows 24 letters now from sight where as last week he only knew 18. The teacher says he is behind and it’s like her starting with a JK student. Well technically I could have had him start school this year if I really wanted to, but they don’t take that in to consideration that he just turned 5. OH no 5 they have to be spelling , writing and reading in order to what MAKE THEIR  JOB EASIER..  Let me tell you this is their was such a problem, wouldn’t they JK teacher has mentioned something last year??? and then it’s the Oh they have to stay focused and they have to participate more.. Like I say Maybe your boring repeating yourself all the time and kids just ZONE out….maybe he’s a listener more then a contributor It doesn’t mean he is being neglected or not able to ramble and talk at home.. SHit my kids won’t shut up once  I pick them up from school.

I think the problem is is that there are a few students who are very needy and will not stop with the endless banter and questions that entice or make other’s just want to say shut up already. Those are the kids who go towards the daycare after school and then go home at 8 o’clock at night and then their parents ignore them or don’t have time for them. so they have to be that way at school because that’s all the attention they get… But my kids get all the attention they need, I listen , I do for, I even over do for sometimes and they get the full truth and no phoney oh, lets talk about this later or I can’t discuss that with them in the room. My family is an open book and my kids are involved in discussions and decisions.. why shouldn’t they be. I’m not putting the wait of the world on them.. but they are definitely not in the dark about things that are going on around them. my kids don’t need that attention from the teachers .We are told to fear this teacher authority so we do. Then they complain when certain kids take that fear to heart.  I was the same way. Sometimes I just didn’t feel I was going to be heard anyway and why bother..So maybe I am raising my kids the same way. I tell them to be more assertive and to speak their minds. And I am learning as we go along but I definitely know that they have their own opinions and voice them freely and frequently when they are with me.. that’s for sure.. So do make a long story short I didn’t sign the note stating it was okay for them to go ahead and test my child. and of course I got a call from the teacher telling me she needs to talk… so I guess after so their will be a confrontation of the sorts where is will tell me how it will benefit my son and I will block her out and just stick to my guns and just kindly say no thanks.. because trust me what I want to say isn’t what she wants to hear .. and they just want you to go along with them… but me I will question the Authority!! even if it takes me after the fact to realize what I am doing I will still try to be up on my game. These are my kids .. I look out for them no one else…

It always gets to this and I have so much to say and then I can’t get it all out at once becasue it seems so much..summer came and went , Halloween came and went and heck if any of you know me by now you know that’s my favoritest  time of the year.. I felt like  I had no time to even  pretend to be somebody else

Kids decide to be lets see Oh yes I remember, A scary clown like IT style. And two ninjas. I know it might be rude to say it and not nice and I do love my kids but come on NINJAS….. sorry boys but I thought I told you, you had to be something SCARY!!!! okay I was busy this year and costumes were bought…at 20 bucks a pop ouch….. So like I said that came and went… And yes Candy is All gone by by Candy no more pigging out on Miniature candy bars that make you say… well just one more  and another , oh heck and another…. Then you look down and wonder was the floor every so multi colored in all it’s life that I didn’t recognize the rainbow of wrappers before..

And so I complain a little lets see talking about complaining well The school my sons go to has gone down hill since the new principle took over a year ago. Lack of communication between parents and teachers and just plan total drill sargent time like a frekin army base. And just a boring “satisfactory” report card from all the teachers which gets my goat because kids are so much more then those losey report cards…..

And now well its back to the Christmas Crunch!!! I am working a few days a week for oh so much money. Yah like enough to maybe buy a “Latte” now from Tim Horton’s … geez when will that competition between McD’s and Tims ever end!! They should just marry and get it over with already and have a baby called Dunkin or something Oh yah I’m cracking my self up writing this one……

I tell you way to much product over load at the malls it can literally make a sane person go into Mental melt down with anxiety and Just saying, “They really shouldn’t do that to people”. Nobody; well no normal middle class family with kids has the money to spend on all this crap that the stores pump out now days!!! It’s just Insane.. Why would I pay 70 bucks for a pair of faux suede boots that when you were them in the snow literally disintegrate. I tell you I think they are really made of that cardboard paper product or something that resembles the cup holder’s at McDonalds. That chunky foamy cardboard yum yum maybe they put that stuff in their burgers too… Okay I love my kids I love the Idea of Christmas can I just xmay on the present ah for just this year….next it’s gonna be all about the 2012…. rant…..

Okay people a little trivia for all those people who like myself up until a few weeks ago thought like all those teachers and documentaries on discovery channel told you The Egyptians made the pyramids… Oh I know who made them and it aint no freakin Egyptian royalty….It was another life form of who ever’s who were here way before humans…..yes people….China I know your pyramid secret now…. okay have a good night with that one… xoxoxooxooxoxoo

I can’t believe it’s been since March that I have posted on here. I hardly play my farm ville and face book is like What so yesterday atm to me!!!! So let me tell you about our joyous summer break so far. Well we have gone to the local pool about a half dozen times…which is nice. I love to swim, but when I have to watch three kids under 8 all at once it can turn out to become a big chore rather then enjoyable. Sorry  I’m just saying, I mean i enjoy seeing the smiles on my kids faces and the excitement and the, “oh lets play tag games” which i gladly participate in, but when my 4 yr old won’t stop splashing me in the face and thinks it a big ol joke cuz my contacts are gonna fall out of my eyeballs . Well you get the idea. Then we have been doing the library reading program for the summer ,sponsored by td bank. www.tdreadingclub.com/ You get stickers and have to do book reports and when you read nine books, you get a ballot that they put in for a prize basket… It was going good for the first few stickers but boys being boys they kinds found the novelty wore off quite quickly. So I just found having then grab the books they wanted and spending as little time in the library as possible makes for a much more enjoyable experience… When we stay ther to long they go tearing throw the iles of the books playing tag and it usually ends in either me screaming and having peoples heads turn. Or someone else telling them to stop….Or then they are like asking to go on the computers one after another and I always tell them we are hre to read and pick up books not to paly on the computer you can do that at home,… which they do quite well mind you….

Anyway We went to Center Island for the Indian festival which they complained about. www.festivalofindia.ca/ We got a free meal and everything yet they still complained about it while chowing down. We swam in the un- chlorinated fountain across the bridge with God only knows what living organism along side them. I swear they know kids go in those pools of water that look so stagnant why don’t they just chlorinate them??? but they had a great time. Mind you both of my younger kids have bouts of diarrhea after words like i said chlorine is our friend people >-<

So on to our next adventure another day  I have written to much today and if I keep it up I will have one hell of a post and nothing to say for the next few weeks, which wont help with my traffic. Is it true I have nothing negative to say today Wow that is surprising… Oh i guess i could feel guilty for not talking to my sister lately… or my dad and step mom… or that I feel like my house is closing in on me.. with all the junk accumulated over the winter months… AHHHh that sounds more like me Watched Nacho Libra again for the zillionth time I hadn’t seen it in a while and it is a really cute really funny movie anyone who hasn’t taken a liking to Jake Black well then your just not from this Universe!!

Friday and still cold have my thick fleece socks on and sittin on the floor with the lap top up on a 2 foot high table is killing my back ,, and my Butt.. listening to Shutter Island on the television!

Got into a thing with the teacher again My hunter was having an issue with another student . I think its a case of he said she said…. but My son doesn’t lie and he only does things if he is provoked into having to protect himself… But because this is a reoccurring incident then he is forced to stand with this tiny little legs next to the principles office while this other brat excuse me!!! gets to play out in the yard while she starts something with someone else… I know i am more par shall to boys because boys are not conniving or vindictive in there actions.(NOTE TO ALL WHO HAVE GIRLS CONVINCE ME OTHER WISE) They don’t play the poor me role theY tell it like it is….”Leave me alone or your gonna get it”!!! kinda deal..

Just upset with the teachers respond, and the principles punishment …. all 3 recesses for 3 days inside with her. Wouldn’t that just have the wrong impact on some children. Like i said to her, ” My child get suspended. why Principle, that’s not punishment , he would Love that”!!!!

She just didn’t get me.. so its over today thank God and he can go back to his most favorite subject RECESS!!!!! but please please Hunter ,,, dont touch anyone else just for your own sake little Man!!!!

Still can’t find a job, not really really trying to hard to look either… is that wrong??? It just seems so difficult to try to juggle times, schedules and when and why scenario’s… Things here are getting so chaotic, I have no time yet all the time…School work is getting more frequent and more demanding, Kids are acting up and fighting way more then I can handle.. My poor heart and stress levels are out the window lately…. everything seems to set everyone off.
Broke my 32 ” TV the other day because my husband what ever he is…. blah …. decided to tell me that I did nothing all day and why I never have the house clean and stuff put away!! well that just did it!!! plus i was PMSing and I really cannot control myself when people decide to judge me when they have NO clue what so every…. My kids are swearing all the time which doesn’t help because that makes me swear more and then it’s just all over the place…..What is going on ?? My sister is right something cosmic and out of this world is driving everyone insane and It feels like it’s getting worse Some body get me off this roller coaster for a second so I can rethink and regroup….. I am slowly going crazy 1 2. 3 4 5 6 switch crazy going slowly am I 6 5 4 3 2 1 switch …… to be continued ahhh when ever the “beep” I god dame well feel like it… hmmmm I am so in a bitchy mood…..

So thing to do here in this big ugly city. The community center only has paid programs which I can’t afford , and the skating is all taken up by 50+ age group , there is not enough snow to go and enjoy sledding and I dare not take my Clan into the malls because they will probably break or destroy something! So I am stuck inside and around the area with not much to do . You would think I could figure something out and be creative but most of the crafts have been done at school . and not to much into baking atm because I don’t have all the ingredients. My sister has been doing a wonderful job of keeping up with the Christmas crunch I did enter my idea in to her crafty section but not to many other followed. so she was stuck having to find 25 things to craft and talk about . And she has done well I almost got inspired to make the felt holly pendant I saw today. But now I have not a stitch of material to work with let alone the glue gun!!

Went to Metro the other day and the kids got their dad his Christmas present. We decided to do a selection of Hot Sauce which he is into. Some old favorites and some new and interesting bottles. He will get a kick out of that literally

Had our Christmas party in the building and its was seriously so disorganized. This building is so not into the Child friendly kind of party I mean come on now You don’t play Calypso Music at a Christmas party unless it resembles something close to Feliz navidad but that is just my opinion. I think the building just came to eat and no one was really interested in enjoying the Christmas spirit. The kids make the most of it and I had to suggest some coloring pages because no one thought of what the kids were going to do all night go figure. again did I say this building is not kid friendly… Ray was the Santa and he did a wonderful job but the Santa suit they had for him was so cheap and the beard was awful. He literally had no choice but to tell the kids he was one of Santa’s helpers at one point when a 8 yr old saw the elastic attached to his face. and say your not really Santa!!! So this is how my week has been going just sailing along waiting for the big day…. or night my family has always done the Dec 24th 12 o’clock thing. Where my mom was always the one who gave us everything and she made sure we were all aware of that.!! My husband on the other had did the Dec 25 thing Santa go you everything and you were actually surprised to see the gifts.. not like me where gifts came slowly emerging under the tree around the end of November and didn’t stop until the 24 of December. Where my brother would continually count his packages every few days to see how many more of less each one of us had. What the heck is that about!!

So trying to do the whole Christmas party with my kids on the 24th will be a challenge because we don’t want them to see everything yet we have to please my mom into begin the center of attention and show we appreciate all she had got everyone. This will be interesting. Went yesterday to the mall and bustled around with all the wannabe Hollister kids and Abbey Crombie folk. Man do this tweens and teens have money. I remember when i was young no word of a lie. scrounging for quarters and money in the fountain at City hall and using a magnet under the grates near the farmers market to grab enough change to enjoy ourselves at McDonald’s. Not buying 100 dollar purses and  Ugg boots to loaf around the mall in. I don’t know who’s kids those kids are but I’m glad right now I don’t have a girl. I mean boys are bad enough but I can see my kids hanging at the local Value Village like I did instead of sipping Lattes at Starbucks… Wow I cant wait for the Age of I Know it All…. Scary stuff. All of it is scary anyway. They grow up to fast!!!

about growing up and getting big I can’t believe my little nephew will be almost 10 months this December and it literally seems like yesterday that we were down in Atlanta waiting to see him born! Talk about change, I bet my sister is just going bonkers. It’s a lot to adjust to a new baby. But when they stick around and stay and then the just constantly keep changing and as she calls it morphing its pretty much down hill from there…. I’m just kidding!! It’s just so different and it is very tiring, but it does seem to get easier but it always changing. You enjoy so much of it, but there are those days when there is that little voice that says, “What was I thinking”! So what was easy back then becomes harder and more drawn out. Like I put you down for a nap as a baby no problem sleep little baby your so sweet you don’t move. Then !!bam!! your a toddler and you start waking up again, and roaming the house cause you can walk. And not listening, and drawing out your down time to get any bit of extra time to talk, drink, use the washroom, whine, complain, and ask for another book. Then it’s the 3 o’clock wake up to either use the bathroom if your lucky, or change the sheets if your not. And when they get older. Its all together just scared of everything.That’s were I am right now! Scared to have the door closed, scared to use the washroom, scared to have the door ajar, scared to see the closet open, scared to see the closet closed, scared to have the lamp on, cause that’s not bright enough, scared because your not sleeping in my bed scared, scared of that story, and  of course scared of that dream!!!!!!! ahhhhhhghhghhghh well you get the idea. Shit!!!!

So a post on reflection and on life i guess. I keep seeing these commercials for Christmas giving and they seem to be forgetting that to kids my age Santa may still exists. I see parents packaging the gifts and eating the cookies and milk scenario and then the kids come in a catch them. and hey my kids are watching all of this… do they want to show the little ones all our secrets. Then you get the questions going and my older boy saying,” he’s not real you know”! Stop making these commercial about what Santa is Not doing ahhh! There is such a short window of time to be mesmerized the the clause please let the kids just be in wonder and ah at the jolly man in red thanks that’s all folks leave a comment please a real comment people

So these are the supplies I used : First off I picked the pine cones with my boys around the end of summer (Aug) when a lot of the cones were around you won’t find many right now unless you look hard. Not sure why they fall off in summer but if someone knows write me: at least here in Ontario….

1. Pine Cones, small, medium , large what every you choose some are flat to sit or you could place them on the tree with a string glued to the bottom.

2. White school glue

3. Acrylic paint, in your choice of color. I went for cool tones, pale green, blues  and   iridescent  whites.

4. Paint brush

5. Sparkles in your favorite shades. I used turquoise. But you could go more traditional and use red and greens. That’s the beauty .!! It’s your choice !!

So make sure Pine Cones are free of leaves and sand or dirt. Then get your kids or yourself to pile on the glue the more the better makes for messy work so do it over the sink or plate. This will help the sparkles stick to the Cone!!

Okay you have the glue on !! Now the color: add your sprinkles to the Cone and make sure you get it all over makes for more fun!! if you just glue the inside of the cones it makes for a different effect but you can do the whole thing and have it really sparkle!! Shake Shake Shake have some fun!!

So One finished Sparkle Pine Cone coming right up MOM!!! repeat the process for as many as you want to make!!! find a safe place to let them dry preferable not on a paper towel because they will stick when dry to anything that is papery. We just left ours on the counter and cleaned up the glue after more fun

So Next we decided to Paint some more with the Acrylic Paints in Greens, and whites, so we could make an arrangement later on. Same idea just paint the cones all over  and set them aside to dry!!

As you can tell paint on the Cone!!!! enough said. And we also had other activities going on at the same time anyone for a game of Battle ship!!

Finished Product!! Decided to use my silver gravy dish that I never use for the arrangement. I found it at Value Village and thought it quite Christmasy. Placed the decorated Pine Cones all around added a bow and place in your favorite spot for some Sparkle!

Hope you all get a chance to try this crafty Christmas Idea. Very easy to do and adds lots of Holiday Cheer to a Table top, Bathroom counter or Hung on the Tree!! Have a Merry time doing something Crafty for your Home!!
